Terms & Conditions

Welcome to Uncle Ray’s Outfitters. By booking a trip or using our services, you agree to the following Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully.

 

1. Booking & Payment

  • A deposit is required to secure your trip date.

  • Full payment is due prior to or at the time of your trip unless otherwise agreed.

  • We accept [cash, credit card, online payments—customize as needed].

  • Trips are scheduled on a first-come, first-served basis.

 

2. Cancellation & Refund Policy

  • Cancellations made [7–14 days] prior to your trip will receive a full refund of the deposit.

  • Cancellations made within [7] of the trip may result in forfeiture of the deposit.

  • “No-shows” or same-day cancellations are non-refundable.

  • If Uncle Ray’s Outfitters cancels due to weather or unforeseen circumstances, you will have the option to:

    • Reschedule your trip, or

    • Receive a full refund.

 

3. Weather Policy

  • Fishing trips run in most weather conditions, including light rain.

  • The captain reserves the right to cancel or reschedule trips due to unsafe conditions (high winds, lightning, severe storms, etc.).

  • Safety decisions are final.

 

4. Safety & Conduct

  • All guests must follow the captain’s instructions at all times.

  • Life jackets and safety equipment are provided and must be used when required.

  • Unsafe, reckless, or disorderly behavior may result in termination of the trip without refund.

  • No illegal drugs are permitted on board. Alcohol is allowed in moderation unless otherwise specified.

 

5. Licensing & Regulations

  • All anglers must have a valid Michigan fishing license prior to the trip.

  • Guests are responsible for following all Michigan Department of Natural Resources rules and regulations.

  • Catch limits, size restrictions, and seasons will be strictly observed.

 

6. Equipment & Personal Property

  • All necessary fishing gear is provided unless otherwise stated.

  • Guests are responsible for any damage caused by misuse of equipment.

  • Uncle Ray’s Outfitters is not responsible for lost, stolen, or damaged personal items.

 

7. Liability Waiver

  • Fishing and boating involve inherent risks. By participating, you acknowledge and accept these risks.

  • Uncle Ray’s Outfitters, its owners, and operators are not liable for injuries, accidents, or losses incurred during the trip.

  • A signed liability waiver may be required prior to departure.

 

8. Fish Cleaning & Harvest

  • Fish cleaning services are [included / available for an additional fee—customize].

  • All harvested fish must comply with state regulations.

  • Guests are responsible for transporting their catch unless otherwise arranged.

 

9. Media & Photography

  • Uncle Ray’s Outfitters may take photos or videos during trips for promotional use.

  • By participating, you grant permission for your image to be used unless you request otherwise in writing prior to the trip.

 

10. Right to Refuse Service

  • We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone for safety, legal, or behavioral reasons.

 

11. Changes to Terms

  • Uncle Ray’s Outfitters reserves the right to update these Terms & Conditions at any time. Updates will be posted on our website.
